The Motley Hotel: From Local Favourite to Global Acquisition

New brand content, turbocharging local interstate revenue streams via targeted Meta campaigns, F&B offer creation, as well as supporting global search campaigns via Demand Plus, we did it all to help build one of the city’s quirkiest design hotels into an unforgettable destination that caught the attention of the Hilton Group and was eventually acquired in 2025.

The Challenge

The Motley was full of personality—but none of it came through online. In a crowded boutique hotel market, it lacked a distinct brand voice, relied too heavily on OTAs, and wasn’t leveraging its standout F&B offerings to drive direct revenue. Ms Parker and Threads Rooftop were underutilised, with no cohesive narrative tying them back to the hotel experience. Our job was to shift the story and the strategy—building a brand from the ground up, dialling up direct bookings, and turning its venues into destinations in their own right.
